And recently an American company called Queen’s Gambit bought about 35 % of SWVLs shares for $445 million. This acquisition led to SWVL transformation from a private company to a joint-stock company (a publicly listed company on the American Nasdaq Stock Market).

في الركب العالمي الحالي الساعي للحفاظ على البيئة من الأخطار التي لا تنفك أن تداهمها، كان من نصيب نهر النيل أن تجرى عليه أول دراسة من نوعها في إحصاء التلوث في مياه أطول أنهار العالم. ففي الدراسة تم إجراؤها من خلال الصحيفة الالكترونية MDPI و الشبكة الإخبارية Sky News على عينة من السمك من نهر النيل، و التي كانت تحتوي على 43 سمكة، تم اكتشاف أن قرابة الخمسة و سبعون في المائة 75% من هذه الأسماك تحتوي على مواد بلاسيتيكة صغيرة أو Microplastics (MPs)، و هي مواد تدخل في جوف السمك و تظل مختلطة به كونها غير متحللة، و أن أقصى عدد لتلك الجزيئات قد وصل إلى 20 قطعة في السمكة الواحدة!
